The basics
debt.bid is a voluntary leaderboard. You pay to place higher on the board. Payments contribute toward clearing the site owner's personal debt. There is no prize, lottery, investment, or guaranteed return.
How bidding works
- Each bid must beat the current highest verified payment.
- Your rank locks only after Stripe confirms payment.
- Someone can outdebt you while you are still in checkout.
- Enter either a username or a website URL β one is required.
- Website bids display fetched favicon, tagline, and description on the leaderboard.
What you get
Leaderboard placement, internet clout, and the warm feeling of helping a stranger avoid selling his mom's land. That is it. No refunds for ego.
What we don't allow
- Fake bids, chargeback abuse, or trying to game the leaderboard.
- Offensive, illegal, or misleading display names or website URLs.
- Impersonation of other people, brands, or sites you do not own.
- Anything that makes us regret building this (use common sense).
When bidding closes
Bidding may close when the debt target is reached or when the site owner/admin disables new bids. Closed means closed. The leaderboard stays up as the permanent hall of fame.
