Overview
debt.bid collects limited information needed to run the leaderboard and process payments. We do not sell your personal data.
What we collect
- Leaderboard info: username or website URL, plus public site metadata for website bids.
- Payment info: processed by Stripe. We store bid amount, payment status, and Stripe reference IDs β not full card numbers.
- Technical data: basic server logs (IP, browser, timestamps) for security and rate limiting.
- Analytics: DataFast may collect anonymized usage data via its script.
How we use data
- Display the public leaderboard and activity feed.
- Process and verify payments.
- Prevent abuse and keep the site running.
- Understand traffic and improve the site.
Third parties
We use Stripe for payments and DataFast for analytics. Their handling of data is governed by their own privacy policies. Website preview requests fetch public pages from URLs you submit.
Public information
Leaderboard entries are public by design. If you bid with a username or website, that information may be visible to anyone visiting debt.bid.
Retention
We retain bid and payment records as needed to operate the leaderboard and meet legal or accounting obligations.
